I missed all the beginning filler shorts because I was very late, but in time for the first entry.  Overall the shorts were surprisingly very good which made for decent viewing for my very critical friend, Tina Huerta, who is a local producer of indie films.  She attended to do research on a secret project that we are doing together.

Especially clever comments by Mike Sterner this month and Max was in great form.  There was that great feeling of a wild slumber party in the theater.

Duress, a Tucson produced pilot for a TV crime drama series. 

This 16-minute film shows the progression of a drug deal between an undercover cop, played by Phoenix actor, Elliot Ruiz and a drug dealer, played by Lou Pimber .  The tone of the scene soon changes when other drug dealers arrive and challenge the undercover cop by demanding that he prove he's not a narc.  

The cinematography had a raw feel very much in the same style as other modern TV crime dramas. Color filters added to the gritt...
